See the Warning Signs. Save Lives.
FACT
School-provided computers are essential to 21st-century learning, but they are also being used as a platform to threaten, bully, express self-harm, share suicidal thoughts, discuss violence, drugs, and weapons possession, view pornography and engage in inappropriate relationships.
WHY IT’S MISSION CRITICAL
It’s critical that districts have a contextual understanding of how the computers are being used and what behavioral issues could be developing that could threaten a student’s overall educational success. Loneliness, isolation, disconnectedness from friends, loss of motivation, self-harm, or violence are real threats to physical or mental health.
WHAT CAN LEARNSAFE DO FOR ME?
LearnSafe equips school leaders with evidence-based information to better understand which students are exhibiting behavioral issues and in need of help based on what they are using, saying, and doing on the school-owned computer.
IT’S COMPREHENSIVE!
LearnSafe is everywhere students are. Whether students are online or offline, whether they are on-campus or off-campus (such as a 1:1 environment) whether on an Internet browser or a desktop application (like Word or PPT), on email, in chat rooms, social media platforms, or sharing information via a personal thumb drive. It’s a meaningful way to identify those in need of help.
