Student Support Services
SlateXP, the maker of LearnSafe, has formed a strategic, services-based partnership with The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth (TLC) to bring mental health support and grant writing services to its district clients.
TLC has a 50-year history of supporting schools and communities. As a not-for-profit organization, TLC, through its team of extensively trained professionals, strives to advance the accessibility of socio-emotional and mental health services through school-based and community-based services and pioneer entrepreneurial educational practices through its network of public and private schools.
In partnership with The Lincoln Center (TLC), SlateXP supports students across various school districts by identifying and embedding mental health professionals within public schools. These experts, spanning mental health counselors, behavior specialists, crisis intervention counselors, and school psychologists, offer in-school assistance to students grappling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and the repercussions of past or present trauma. TLC personnel undertake a diverse array of responsibilities, flexibly adjusting to each school district’s needs. Counseling sessions, whether individual or group-based, strive to create a nurturing space where students can enhance their socioemotional well-being and address issues like family conflicts, grief, stress, interpersonal struggles, and bullying. Moreover, TLC professionals extend their support to families, providing counseling tailored to students’ mental health challenges and familial circumstances, incorporating trauma-informed approaches and crisis intervention strategies to assist at-risk students, encompassing both trauma-related counseling and defusing tense situations. Additionally, they collaborate with special education students to fulfill counseling requirements outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
